The State Agricultural Co-Financing Program provides co-financing for primary production, storage of agricultural products, and processing activities.
The purpose of the Program is to promote:
- growth in primary production;
- development of the value chain in the agricultural sector;
- creation and improvement of product storage and processing infrastructure.
The objectives of the Program are to:
- introduce modern, efficient technologies adapted to climatic conditions into production;
- produce high-quality agri-food products tailored to market demand;
- increase access to financial resources;
The Program includes the following components:
- co-financing of primary production;
- co-financing of processing and storage enterprises;
- Preferential Agrocredit for fixed assets;
- Preferential Agrocredit for current assets;
- co-financing for the establishment of a slaughterhouse.
The Program is available to a registered entrepreneurial natural person (individual entrepreneur) or an entrepreneurial legal entity in which the State holds no ownership interest, participation interest, or shares. In addition, to participate in the Program, a potential beneficiary must be registered in the Registry of Farms and Rural Enterprises.
The aggregate amount of Agency co-financing under all components of the Program shall not exceed GEL 2,000,000 (farmers interested in establishing a dairy farm shall be subject to different terms):
- up to 50% of the total amount of the project submitted under all components of the Program, and up to 55% in the case of cooperatives holding agricultural status, villages adjacent to the dividing line, and high-mountain settlements;
- up to 40% of the total amount of the project submitted under the Co-Financing of Processing and Storage Enterprises Component, and up to 45% in the case of cooperatives holding agricultural status, villages adjacent to the dividing line, and high-mountain settlements.
A beneficiary may receive co-financing available under all components until the applicable limit(s) have been exhausted.
The Program is implemented by the Non-Entrepreneurial (Non-Commercial) Legal Entity - Rural Development Agency.
Implementation of the Program is coordinated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
