The State Agro Co-financing Program Has Launched

On July 1, the State Agro Co-financing Program was launched. The program is implemented by the Rural Development Agency and aims to promote the introduction of modern, climate-adapted technologies in the agricultural sector, increase production, and improve product quality.

Within the framework of the program, funding will be provided for the establishment of perennial crops, greenhouse farms, livestock and poultry farms, beekeeping, aquaculture and mariculture farms, facilities for the slaughter of food-producing animals (slaughterhouses), as well as processing and storage enterprises.

The program is available to registered individual entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial legal entities.

The Agency’s total co-financing under the program is limited to a maximum of GEL 2 million. Farmers interested in establishing dairy farms will benefit from different terms.

Under the program, the Agency’s co-financing is determined at up to 50% of the total project cost, while for agricultural cooperatives, projects implemented in villages adjacent to the occupation line, and projects implemented in highland settlements, co-financing is determined at up to 55%.

Applications for the State Agro Co-financing Program are submitted electronically through the official website of the Rural Development Agency.

One of the mandatory prerequisites for participation in the state program is registration in the Registry of Farms and Rural Enterprises. Registration can be completed at the Rural Development Agency’s Central Office and Municipal Information and Consultation Centres.
