Taking into account the current situation in the region, the Rural Development Agency will no longer participate in the international exhibition “Hospitality Qatar,” scheduled to be held on 12–14 October 2026 in Doha, State of Qatar.
As of July 1 to July 31, 833 entities are registered in the Register of Farms and Rural Enterprises. Among them, 460 are natural persons, while 374 are legal entities. The total area of registered agricultural land amounts to 6,777 hectares.
The informational meeting held in Ambrolauri was attended by the Director of the Rural Development Agency, Zurab Gozalishvili, the First Deputy State Representative in the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Region, Kristine Kobakhidze, Deputy State Representative Aluda Tutisani, mayors of the municipalities of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, farmers, and entrepreneurs.
In Kutaisi, the Rural Development Agency presented the “State Agro Co-financing Program” to representatives of local authorities and self-government of the Imereti region, farmers, and entrepreneurs.
At a meeting held in Zugdidi, Besik Macharashvili, Acting Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, provided detailed information to local government and self-government representatives, farmers and entrepreneurs about the financing conditions and participation criteria of the “State Agro Co-financing Program”
The "State Agro Co-financing Program" was presented to representatives of local authorities and self-government, farmers, and entrepreneurs by Besik Macharashvili, Acting Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency.
Within the framework of the State Agro Co-financing Program, the Rural Development Agency continues to subsidize the interest rates on loans issued by commercial banks to support the cultivation of annual crops. This support mechanism had been available to farmers and agribusiness operators for years under the Preferential Agrocredit Project, and since July of this year, it has been integrated into the State Agro Co-financing Program.
The Rural Development Agency introduced the new State Agro Co-financing Program to representatives of the local government and self-government, farmers, and entrepreneurs.
At the meeting held in Marneuli, representatives of the Rural Development Agency provided local entrepreneurs and farmers with detailed information about the terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria of the State Agro Co-financing Program.
Receiving applications for the selection competition for the exhibition will be open from 12:00 on July 10, 2026 until 18:00 on July 24, 2026, inclusive
The Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, Giorgi Avaliani, participated in the panel discussion, "Strengthening the Export of Georgian Agri-Food Products to the EU Market – Challenges, Opportunities and Partnership," held on the issues related to the export of agri-food products.
