Hazelnut farmers must register their orchards in the cadastre by May 16, 2025, in order to participate in the state program for the promotion of hazelnut production.

Those wishing to join the state program should contact the regional offices of the Rural Development Agency.

It is mandatory to go through the registration procedure in the hazelnut cadastre even if the farmer has already registered their hazelnut orchard in previous years.

Georgian citizens who are natural persons and own a hazelnut orchard—either fully or jointly, or who possess or factually control such an orchard—can benefit from the state program for the promotion of hazelnut production, provided the orchard covers a total area of no less than 0.2 ha and no more than 3 ha.

The amount of the subsidy is determined as 500 GEL per hectare of hazelnut orchard.

Subsidies for program participants are issued via Liberty Bank’s AgroCard in the form of points. The points are credited in stages. The final deadline for using the credited points in specialized agro stores is August 31, 2025.
