Definition of Terms

Beneficiary – a natural or legal person with whom a funding/co-funding agreement has been concluded within the framework of the Agency’s projects/programs, or an agricultural cooperative with whom no funding/co-funding agreement has been concluded within the framework of the Agency’s projects/programs, or a beneficiary of the co-funding purpose for the services of a foreign consultant – a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity (association) established by at least 10 persons and/or a cooperative with agricultural status and/or a membership-based legal entity under public law established by at least 10 persons on the basis of the Law of Georgia on Water Users’ Organizations and the Law of Georgia on Legal Entities under Public Law, with whom an agreement has been concluded;

Potential Beneficiary – a natural or legal person with whom a funding/co-funding agreement has been concluded or may be concluded within the framework of the Agency’s projects/programs, or an agricultural cooperative with whom no funding/co-funding agreement has been concluded but may be concluded within the framework of the Agency’s projects/programs, or a potential beneficiary of the co-funding purpose for the services of a foreign consultant – a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity (association) established by at least 10 persons and/or a cooperative with agricultural status and/or a membership-based legal entity under public law established by at least 10 persons on the basis of the Law of Georgia on Water Users’ Organizations and the Law of Georgia on Legal Entities under Public Law, with whom an agreement may be concluded;

Co-funding – monetary resources provided by the Agency to the program beneficiary within the framework of the program;

Agreement – the co-funding agreement concluded between the Agency and the beneficiary, which defines the obligations to be fulfilled by the parties within the framework of the program;

Application – an application submitted by the potential beneficiary for the purpose of receiving co-funding;

Beneficiary’s Contribution – monetary resources and/or donor resources presented by the potential beneficiary for financing the project within the framework of the program;

Equipment – machinery and devices necessary for giving the final commercial form to the product produced by the agricultural cooperative within the framework of the program (including labeling, cutting, dosing, packaging, filling, and date-marking machines);

Donor – an organization that, within the framework of this program, will cover part of the cost of the funding purposes provided for in Article 4 of the program.

Consultant – a foreign citizen (natural person) or a legal entity registered abroad who will provide consultations related to agricultural activities on annual and perennial crops, both in open and closed soil conditions;

Technical Consultant – a foreign citizen (natural person) or a legal entity registered abroad who will provide consultations in the direction of post-harvest technologies (excluding issues related to product processing).
