Program Conditions
The program envisages the co-financing in the field of dairy industry of purchase/creation of fixed assets and insurance expenses.
Within the framework of the program, both the start of new activities and the expansion/modernization of existing ones will be financed in the following direction/purpose:
- Primary milk production - co-financing of small equipment required for building (cattle stall) and farm arrangement, as well as installation of a solar power station with a capacity of no more than 5 kW, provided that the cost of purchasing/installing solar panels should not exceed 50% of the total cost of the project) ;
- Veterinary medicine and artificial insemination - purchase of inventory and equipment necessary for veterinary activities and artificial insemination;
- Alternative activities for young people (men 18-35 years old, and women 18-40 years inclusive, local residents of the respective municipality) - co-financing of a greenhouse of no more than 100 square meters;
Within the framework of the program, existing business activities will be financed in the following directions:
- Milk collection point - co-financing of modernization/repair of special vehicles, machines and existing buildings; Implementation of international food safety standard/system.
- Milk processing enterprise (medium size) - co-financing of modernization/repair of special vehicles, machines and existing buildings. Implementation of international food safety standard/system.
- Co-financing of the milk collection point on the summer pastures-machine-equipment and the modernization/repair of the existing building-structure, as well as the arrangement of a mobile solar power station (a necessary condition will be the installation of solar panels on the summer pastures).
- Milk processing enterprise (small size) - co-financing of modernization/repair of machinery and existing buildings. Introduction of international food safety standard/system.
Geographical area of program distribution
In the case of targeting "alternative activities for young people" (arrangement of a greenhouse of no more than 100 square meters), applications will be accepted from the following regions: Samtskhe-Javakheti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Imereti.
In the case of a milk processing enterprise and a milk collection point, it will be possible to receive applications from the following regions of Georgia: Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Samtskhe-Javakheti.
In the case of veterinary medicine and artificial insemination, the geographical area of the program is all regions of Georgia.
Primary production of milk (setting up a farm) is possible in the following regions: Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Samtskhe-Javakheti, Guria, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Shida Kartli, Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
The farm created / modernized / expanded under the program must meet the certain criteria for setting up a farm and basic criteria.
Beneficiary of the Program
The participant must be a citizen of Georgia (if applying as an individual) or a registered business entity in Georgia (including agricultural cooperatives) in which the state does not own any shares, stakes, or stock.
The participant must not have any outstanding tax liabilities to the state budget.
The real estate where the investment is to be made must be: Registered as personal property of the applicant in the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR); OR Leased or acquired through a superficies agreement, with at least five years remaining on the contract at the time of signing the co-financing agreement. The lease/superficies agreement must be registered with NAPR.
The real estate must not be under seizure or legal restriction.
If the applicant has participated in any other agency-funded program, they must not have violated the program’s terms.
The participant's co-financing contribution may come from personal funds or a loan from a financial institution.
Grants or funding received through other programs/projects cannot be used as the co-financing source for this program.
