Acceptance of applications for participation in the “Plant the Future” program under the orchards component begins with increased co-financing

The Rural Development Agency will accept applications for participation in the state program “Plant the Future” from 10 November of the current year at 12:00 until 28 February 2026.

By the decision of the Government of Georgia, amendments have been introduced to the state program “Plant the Future”. The amount of state co-financing has been increased. Under the new version of the program, the maximum co-financing provided by the Rural Development Agency has increased from 250,000 GEL to 500,000 GEL, and in the case of blueberries – up to 750,000 GEL.

Changes also apply to the co-financing component of anti-hail systems. The list of agricultural crops eligible for co-financing has been expanded, and the co-financing percentage has increased. Under the new version of the program, co-financing will be provided for the installation of anti-hail systems intended for vineyards, pome fruit, stone fruit and berry crops – up to 30% of the cost. For agricultural cooperatives, villages adjacent to the occupation line, and highland settlements, the co-financing rate is up to 40%.

Funding is available for the installation of anti-hail systems on no more than 50 hectares per beneficiary, and the maximum amount of co-financing for one beneficiary is set at no more than 750,000 GEL.

It is noteworthy that the amendments to the “Plant the Future” program will contribute to increased production in the horticulture sector and help reduce the risk of crop loss or damage caused by hail.

The Rural Development Agency will receive applications for the orchards component of the “Plant the Future” state program electronically.
