Information Meeting on the State Agro Co-financing Program Held in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region
The Rural Development Agency held an information meeting on the State Agro Co-financing Program in Mtskheta.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Rural Development Agency, Zurab Gozalishvili, the Deputy State Representative in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, Teimuraz Bekauri, representatives of the local authorities and self-government bodies of the municipalities of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, as well as farmers and entrepreneurs.
“Registration in the Register of Farms and Rural Enterprises is a prerequisite for participation in the State Agro Co-financing Program. This service is available both at the central office of the Rural Development Agency and at municipal Information and Consultation Centres,” said Zurab Gozalishvili.
During the meeting, participants received detailed information about the objectives of the new State Agro Co-financing Program, funding conditions, and participation criteria.
The program will be launched on 1 July 2026 and provides support for various areas of the agricultural sector. State co-financing is set at up to 50% of the project cost, while the maximum funding per project is GEL 2 million.
For agricultural cooperatives and projects implemented in highland settlements and villages adjacent to the occupation line, the co-financing rate is 55%.
The State Agro Co-financing Program aims to promote the introduction of modern, efficient, and climate-adapted technologies in the agricultural sector.
The Rural Development Agency continues to hold information meetings about the program in different regions of the country to provide interested individuals with comprehensive information on the program's opportunities and participation conditions.
