In the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Region, an informational meeting was held regarding the “State Agro Co-financing Program”

The informational meeting held in Ambrolauri was attended by the Director of the Rural Development Agency, Zurab Gozalishvili, the First Deputy State Representative in the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Region, Kristine Kobakhidze, Deputy State Representative Aluda Tutisani, mayors of the municipalities of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, farmers, and entrepreneurs.

The Agro Co-financing Program includes co-financing components for primary production, processing and storage enterprises, as well as facilities intended for the slaughter of food-producing animals (slaughterhouses). Within the framework of the program, preferential agrocredit is also available, which provides financing for fixed and working capital.

The program may be used by a registered entrepreneurial natural person (individual entrepreneur) or an entrepreneurial legal entity.

The total volume of the Agency’s co-financing within the framework of the program is determined at no more than GEL 2 million. Farmers interested in establishing dairy farms benefit from different conditions.

Within the framework of the program, the Agency’s co-financing is determined at no more than 50% of the total value of the submitted project, while for cooperatives with agricultural status and for projects to be implemented in villages adjacent to the dividing line and in high-mountain settlements – no more than 55%.
