Internship

The Rural Development Agency, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Georgia, within the framework of the project “Modernization of the Vocational Education System in Georgia’s Agriculture”, announces an internship program in its regional offices:

• Guria – Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Chokhatauri;
• Imereti – Zestaponi, Baghdati, Vani, Terjola, Samtredia, Sachkhere, Tkibuli, Chiatura, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Kharagauli;
• Racha-Lechkhumi and Lower Svaneti – Ambrolauri, Lentekhi, Oni, Tsageri;
• Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti – Zugdidi, Abasha, Martvili, Mestia, Senaki, Chkhorotsku, Tsalenjikha, Khobi;
• Samtskhe-Javakheti – Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni, Aspindza, Akhalkalaki, Borjomi, Ninotsminda.

 

Internship duration: 1 month

Schedule: Part-time, by agreement

Monthly remuneration: 490 GEL

 

We offer individuals interested in the field of agriculture the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Agricultural extension (knowledge sharing) in the following sectors: horticulture, vegetable growing, plant protection, viticulture (selectively);
• Providing consultations to the population about ongoing state projects/programs implemented by the agency;
• Planning, coordinating, and conducting events, field and office meetings organized by the agency in the region/municipality;
• Field visits to farmers – “Field Day”;
• Preparing and delivering presentations.
  
  

Candidate requirements:

• Knowledge of the Georgian language;
• Student (preferably) or graduate of a vocational college, or a student of at least the 2nd year / graduate of a higher educational institution;
• Basic knowledge of computer office programs;
• Communicative;
• Responsible;
• Ability to manage time effectively.

 

Competition stages:

• Review of received applications.
• Interview.
