Under the State Program for Rational Use of State-Owned Pastures in Mountainous Regions, dairy processing enterprises were transferred at 25% of their market value to agricultural cooperatives selected through a competition.
The program included two components:
- Transfer of state-owned hayfields and pastures for 25 years on a lease basis and agricultural machinery to agricultural cooperatives with agricultural status
- Construction of dairy processing enterprises
Within the framework of the program, according to the conditions defined by the program, a total of 13,668 hectares of hayfields and pastures were transferred to 25 agricultural cooperatives, and agricultural machinery (tractors and attached aggregates) was provided with 90% co-financing from the state.
In the village of Shuapkho, Dusheti Municipality, a dairy processing enterprise was constructed and equipped with appropriate machinery, which was transferred according to the conditions established by the program to an agricultural cooperative selected through a competition.
